Information Collected Through Connected Social Accounts

If you choose to connect your social media accounts, we only collect data that you authorize via the official APIs:

Data Collected: Account info (via instagram_business_basic), media, media insights, analytics, audience demographics/location (via instagram_business_manage_insights)
Purpose: To verify account ownership and display social profile data on your public Lume profile
YouTube
Data Collected: Channel info, videos/shorts, video statistics
Purpose: To verify account ownership and display YouTube data on your public Lume profile

Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use):

Lume's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer your data to third-party AI models or advertisers.

Information collected via YouTube API services is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

Note: You may disconnect your social account at any time via your Settings page, and we delete associated data from our systems upon disconnection.

Automatically Collected Data

We may automatically collect technical data when you use the Services, such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser or device type
  • Usage activity

Cookies: We currently do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the Services
  • Create and display public creator profiles
  • Verify connected social accounts
  • Enable users to receive collaboration requests
  • Maintain service security and integrity
  • Comply with applicable laws

3. Public Profiles

Creator profiles on Lume are publicly accessible and may be viewed by anyone. This means information you provide and approved social data may be visible on your public Lume profile.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help operate the Services (Supabase for database hosting, Vercel for website hosting)
  • Legal authorities if required by law
  • Third parties in connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition)

All data sharing is limited to what is necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the Services and as required by applicable laws.

When you delete your Lume account:

  • Your personal information is deleted from our systems
  • Social data retrieved via APIs is deleted
  • Deletion is processed within 30 days

This is part of our commitment to user rights and data minimization.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Withdraw consent for connected social accounts

How to Delete Your Account or Disconnect Social Media

To permanently delete your Lume account or disconnect Instagram/YouTube:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Navigate to Settings (located in your dashboard menu)
  3. In Settings you can:
    • Disconnect Instagram or YouTube: Find the "Connected Accounts" section and click disconnect for the platform you want to remove
    • Delete Your Account: Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account" (you will be asked to type "delete" to confirm)

When you delete your account, all your personal data and social media data are permanently removed from our databases within 30 days.

Requests are processed within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

7. Data Security

We implement administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we discover that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it immediately. 9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed or stored in countries outside your own, including where our service providers operate (e.g., United States).
